Agreement

By downloading or using Unparked, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app. These terms apply to all users — free tier, paid subscribers, and anonymous users alike.

Who We Are

What Unparked Does

Unparked helps you:

  • Save your parking location and get walking directions back to your car
  • Receive reminders before street cleaning based on official city schedule data
  • Monitor nearby temporary no-parking permits (construction, film, utility)

Unparked uses official open data from New York City, San Francisco, and Chicago. While we work hard to keep this data accurate and current, we do not guarantee that schedule data, suspension notices, or temporary restriction alerts are complete, accurate, or up to date at any given moment.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use Unparked only for lawful purposes
  • Provide accurate information when creating an account or household
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the app or its API
  • Not use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers or services
  • Take responsibility for verifying posted street signs before relying solely on Unparked's reminders

Unparked is a reminder tool, not a guarantee. Always check posted signs. Temporary restrictions, emergency suspensions, and city data errors can occur. A parking ticket resulting from reliance on Unparked is your responsibility.

Subscriptions and Billing

Free Tier

The free tier is available indefinitely with no payment required. It includes one vehicle and one user with full core functionality.

Household Plan

The Household Plan is billed annually at $9.99/year. It includes up to 4 household members and 4 vehicles, shared household view, temporary sign alerts, and priority support.

Trials

New subscribers receive a 30-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends without being billed.

Billing and Cancellation

All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. To cancel, manage your subscription through your App Store or Play Store account settings. We do not issue refunds outside of what Apple or Google's policies require, but contact us at info@unparkedapp.com if you have a billing issue and we'll do our best to help.

Household Accounts

The Household Plan allows up to 4 members. The account owner is responsible for:

  • Inviting members using the in-app invite system
  • Understanding that all members can view shared vehicle and location data within the household
  • Removing members who should no longer have access

Black Cat Dev LLC is not responsible for disputes between household members regarding shared data access.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and data structures in Unparked are the property of Black Cat Dev LLC unless otherwise noted. City schedule data is sourced from public open data APIs and remains the property of the respective municipalities.

You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of Unparked without our written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Unparked is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that:

  • The app will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Street cleaning schedule data will be accurate or current at all times
  • Temporary restriction alerts will capture every filed permit
  • Reminders will fire under all network and device conditions

Use of Unparked is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black Cat Dev LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Unparked — including but not limited to parking tickets, towing fees, or fines incurred as a result of reliance on the app.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Unparked shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of Unparked after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@unparkedapp.com.
